H-E-B is searching for the state’s top educators as nominations for the 2025 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are underway. The program from the San Antonio-based grocer has handed out more than $14 million to educators and schools.

The Texas-based Grocery chain H-E-B launched its annual search for the best educators in the state. The company is now accepting nominations for the 2025 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, a Monday news release announced. The program recognizes teachers, counselors, principles, preschools, school boards and districts for excellence in education and provides cash prizes for the winners.

Most of us have come into contact with an unforgettable teacher at one point in out schooling, and San Antonio-based grocer H-E-B wants to award those integral educators with cash prizes. The 2025 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are now open through Oct. 7, and the company is seeking nominations of outstanding educators. The supermarket chain has awarded more than $14 million in funding to finalists, winners and their schools since introducing the awards in 2002.

AUSTIN, Texas — H-E-B is again celebrating Texas educators with its annual Excellence in Education Awards, and nominations are now open. This prestigious program, designed to honor outstanding educational contributions, accepts entries through October 7. All state-certified public school educators currently teaching in Texas are eligible, along with early childhood education centers and schools across the state.
