North Texas teachers finalists for H-E-B Excellence awards
H-E-B’s Excellence in Education is the largest monetary awards program for educators in Texas and is among the largest in the nation. The honor was kept a surprise from the educators, who this week learned they were finalists when H-E-B representatives visited their classrooms and schools.
Glenmore Elementary teacher selected as finalist for H-E-B Excellence in Education Teacher Award
A second-grade teacher from San Angelo ISD’s Glenmore Elementary was recently named a finalist for H-E-B’s Excellence in Education Teacher Award.

According to San Angelo ISD, the Excellence in Education awards are designed to “honor and thank outstanding public school professionals for their dedication and commitment to the students in their area.”
Carthage teacher is finalist for H-E-B education award
Carthage High School teacher Catherine Jackson has been named a finalist for the H-E-B Excellence in Education award. As a finalist in the Lifetime Achievement Award category, which salutes teachers with more than 20 years of experience, she is eligible to receive $25,000 in cash for herself and a $25,000 grant for her campus. Winners will be announced on Sunday, May 5.
